THE BETHESDA CENTER
In our mission to serve the community, we are embarking on the establishment of a faith-based nonprofit 24/7 children's emergency shelter, tailored to cater to the needs of South Texas and neighboring counties. Guided by the principles of faith and ethical conduct, our organization is dedicated to providing a sanctuary of safety and support for vulnerable children in times of crisis.
Our comprehensive services will extend beyond mere shelter, encompassing essential provisions such as proper nutrition, transportation to school and medical appointments, and the facilitation of recreational activities. Moreover, we are committed to fostering an environment conducive to growth and healing, with a compassionate staff dedicated to continuous learning and personal development.

OUR MISSION
At Bethesda, our mission is to facilitate a faith-based shelter that embodies the teachings of Jesus Christ. Inspired by the biblical story of the pools of Bethesda where Jesus demonstrates compassion and healing paired with the scripture in Matthew 11:28 where Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him, we are committed to providing optimal care for children who have been displaced due to neglect, abuse, and trauma. We at Bethesda also believe in the power of community and strive to create job opportunities for its members, enlisting their skills and providing them with long-lasting education and career pathways. Through our Christian values, we aim to establish and maintain a safe and nurturing environment where children can experience peace and respite.
